• The National Immunisation Service (NIS) offers all vaccines on the Maltese National schedule to children and adults aged 65+, as well as a travel clinic whereby people planning to travel abroad can access travel health information and access travel related vaccinations. The NIS also liaises with secondary care and public health to carry out vaccination interventions in special cohorts of patients and run national vaccination campaigns.
  • The Well Baby Clinic (WBC) serves the purpose of clinical examination and early developmental assessments of babies and infants during three routine visits carried out at 8-12 weeks, 8 months and 18 months of age.
  • The Parent and Baby Primary Health Support Clinic offers a midwife-led service which provides support to parents during the first weeks following childbirth.
  • The School Health Service consists of a team of doctors and nurses who provide screening services for developmental conditions as well as monitoring of child health and well-being in all State and Church Schools in Malta and Gozo.
  • The Scoliosis Review Clinic provides regular reviews of children and adolescents noted to have mild scoliosis during screening campaigns.
  • Well Woman Clinics: These include the Gynaecology, Antenatal, Postnatal and Maternal Health Needs Assessment Clinics.
